My Education

Here are some pictures from my college shows at Salem State.

These are from my first SSC Theatre production, "Man in a Raincoat".  It was 1987 and I had multiple parts.  Most notably I was Charlie the Bartender.  I also played one of the masked raincoat men, a cop, and a reporter.  Cool for a first show.  It was the third production ever of this play.  The lead was a middle-aged man-don't remember his name but he was pretty intense-maybe a little too intense....

These are from St. Joan of the Stockyards.  It was written by Bertolt Brecht completely in German.  It was translated into english which would make it a longer show.  We had cut 2 hours out of it and it was still 2 hours long.  It was a hard show but we took it to the ACTF in 1988.  Good Times!

These are from the single greatest show I've ever done, Hair.  It was 1989 unless we were on stage then it was 1968 all over again.  We worked on the show together, we partied together and it changed all who were involved in it forever.

These are from Little Shop of Horrors, 1990.  A tremendous show, tons of fun and the last show I did at Salem State.  Tom Luddy the director, retooled several parts for logistical reasons.  In the original play, the person who plays the dentist played all the ensemble parts, the homeless guy, the flower shop customer and the minion of the plant at the end.  Tom rearranged it so 3 male ensemble players would cover those roles.  Myself, my friend Dana (of the Tiles) and a guy named Tony were cast as the ensemble-Tony didn't seem to click with the ensemble so he was replaced with Tom Silcott.
